The S*x Offender Registrar's Office at the Oconee County Sheriff's Office (SC) will be closed June 1 - June 5, 2026 during which, there will be no available dates for individuals needing to register for the S*x Offender Registry. Normal registry times will resume on June 8, 2026.

**This does not affect the current S*x Offender Registry itself and the registry will available for viewing and searching. Only those individuals who need to register are affected and will need to schedule their registration around these dates.**

Memorial Day is a time for us to come together as a nation to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today, and their devotion to duty and love of country will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends today, we also pause to reflect on the tremendous cost of freedom and to remember the heroes who gave everything in defense of our nation. We are forever grateful to those who answered the call to serve and made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of others.

From all of us at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, we extend our deepest gratitude and respect to our fallen service members and to the families who continue to carry their memory forward. May we always honor their legacy, and may we never forget their sacrifice.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office (SC) Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

As we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Please remember that deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will continue to patrol and serve our community throughout the holiday.

In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
For routine questions or non-emergency situations, contact our Dispatch Center at 864-638-4111.

The men and women of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office extend our deepest condolences to the Greenville City Police Department, the family, friends, and loved ones of Sergeant Ashley Munoz following her tragic passing in a motor vehicle collision.

During this incredibly difficult time, we stand beside our brothers and sisters in blue in Greenville and keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Sergeant Munoz’s service and dedication to her community will not be forgotten.

We also ask for continued prayers for Sergeant Diana Munoz, who was also involved in the collision and severely injured, as she begins her road to recovery.

May God bring comfort, strength, healing, and peace to everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

Today, on Law Enforcement Memorial Day 2026, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office (SC) honors the courageous men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We pause to remember those who gave their lives protecting our communities, defending the innocent, and serving something greater than themselves. Their dedication, bravery, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

We also extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their memory forward each day.

May we never take for granted the sacrifices made by those who wear the badge.

Our Blood Drive is underway at the Oconee County Sheriff's Office (SC)! Come by the Sheriff's Office, located at 300 S. Church Street, Walhalla, SC 29691 to donate blood between 1pm - 6pm. If you are not able to register, walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
