Livingston Economic Development Council Advancing economic growth and quality of life in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The LEDC is a private, non-profit membership corporation.

The Livingston Economic Development Council was formed in 1982 by business and elected leaders to promote and secure capital investment in Livingston Parish to increase the tax base and provide job opportunities. Our core mission is to create quality economic development for Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The LEDC works to achieve this mission in three ways:

1. Recruit new or expanding business op

portunities to the parish from outside sources.
2. Work with existing business and industry to encourage growth and expansion.
3. Encourage entrepreneurship and the formation of new businesses.

Today, I had the distinct honor of recognizing Mr. Ferdie Genre, alongside his wife Pat, as the Livingston Economic Development Commission 2026 Bob Easterly Award recipient.
This prestigious recognition reflects a lifetime of hard work, leadership and a deep commitment to strengthening our local economy and community.
I’m grateful to Senator Jeremy Stine for joining me in honoring Mr. Genre’s incredible achievement. He shared that his Walker location of Stine in Walker, Louisiana is his top-performing store … proof that Livingston Parish knows how to support strong businesses and drive success.
Congratulations again to Mr. Genre on this well deserved honor. Your impact on Livingston Parish will be felt for generations to come.
