This morning, public agencies and emergency partners from across Livingston Parish gathered at the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Facility for the 2026 Hurricane Preparedness Meeting.

Preparation, teamwork, and proactive planning remain essential to protecting our residents, supporting efficient emergency response efforts, and keeping Livingston Parish moving forward.

Thank you to our guest speakers: State Representative Roger Wilder, DPW Director Robert Dugas, Mark Phillips (DEMCO), Kristin Zatta (Entergy), NWS Meteorologist Chris Bannan, State Climatologist Jay Grymes, and LOHSEP Director Chris Anderson, who also served as our MC.

A special thank you to Sheriff Jason Ard for allowing us to use the Training Facility, providing lunch, and to his outstanding cooking team for preparing an amazing meal for everyone in attendance.

With hurricane season beginning Monday, it’s important to stay prepared before a storm threatens our area. Now is the time to review emergency plans!

This past Sunday, we were able to get a great group of our full-time, part-time, and volunteer firefighters together, along with several family members, for a fun day of friendly competition off
the job.

Five teams hit the lanes this year:
Administration
A-Shift
C-Shift
Volunteers/Part-time
Current Academy Recruits

Congratulations to the Administration team for bringing home the championship for the third year in a row! And Frank Dellucky for bowling the Highest Game of the day with a score of 236!

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the day such a success.

Progress is moving fast at the new Station 11! This station will strengthen emergency response for the South Satsuma area and support future growth, including the municipal airport. We can't wait to open the doors soon!

🗳️ Ballot Reminder: The district's user fee renewal is on the ballot Saturday, June 27. This is NOT a new tax—it simply maintains the vital funding that keeps our community safe.

05/19/2026

Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 is funded by property millages and a $32 user fee unchanged since 1990.
Costs and demand have grown — this renewal keeps service levels strong.
RENEWAL ONLY — NOT A NEW TAX 🗳️

Tonight, LPFPD4 proudly host the 2026 Graduation Ceremony for our 4th Louisiana High School Firefighter Training Program.

This ceremony recognizes high school seniors who successfully completed rigorous training and earned certifications in Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Firefighter I & II. These students have demonstrated dedication, discipline, and a strong commitment to serving their communities.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments throughout the year and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the fire service and beyond.

Thank you Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office for allowing us to always use your facility during the great milestones.

We are proud to recognize the incredible accomplishments of three of our own who graduated today from the Louisiana Fire Chief’s Academy; a prestigious two-year program designed to prepare fire service leaders for the next level as Certified Fire Executives.

Each of these individuals discovered their passion for the fire service right here at Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4:

• Gary Boudreaux began his journey 32 years ago as a Junior Cadet and now serves as an Assistant Chief.
• Craig Roberts started 28 years ago as a volunteer and also serves as an Assistant Chief.
• Matthew Gallman began 17 years ago as a volunteer and currently serves as our Fire Prevention Officer.

Your commitment, leadership, and dedication to the fire service and our community are truly commendable.

Thank you, gentlemen, for representing Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 with professionalism, pride, and excellence.
