💚 A Note About Green Kids Tonight (Thursday*, 9/3) 💚

Just a gentle reminder that there won't be Green Kids this evening. The GSRP Open House is happening down the ECC wing tonight, and we're a bit short on space to run the program as usual.

We've done our best to share this in several ways:

Our printed calendar at the checkout table
Calendars sent home at Open House
Friendly verbal reminders along the way 😊

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. We'll be back to our regular Green Kids schedule next week!

What a week, Eagles! 🦅 From first day jitters to hunting down the right classroom, our WMAES students and staff tackled it all like pros. The backpacks are unpacked, the routines are clicking, and everyone's officially SOARing into the school year. 🌲

We’re proud to share that West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science has been ranked among the Top 50 Public High Schools in Michigan by MLive!

This recognition reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and families who work together every day to create a community where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are still Accepting Enrollment applications for the 2025-2026 school year for grades PK – 12. Follow the steps, submit the required documents, and ensure a smooth start for your student. We will keep you informed throughout the process, so you’re never left wondering what’s next!

🦅 Welcome back, Eagles! 🦅

We are so excited to welcome our families back for the first day of school tomorrrow, Monday, August 24th! ☀️📚

A few reminders about our new start and dismissal times:

🕖 7:45 AM: Building and classrooms open. Students may grab breakfast and bring it to class to eat!
🕝 2:45 PM: Elementary dismissal
🕝 2:50 PM: Secondary dismissal

Drop Off & Dimissal Reminders:

🚗If you are choosing to get out of the car with your child please be sure to park in a parking space and navigate the parking lot safely. If utilizing the drop off lane please be sure your child can exit the car themselves so we can keep the line moving.

🚗 If your child is not attending Green Kids for after school care, please expect a busy parking lot, especially during the first few days as everyone settles into the new schedule. Please allow yourself extra time to navigate drop off and pickup, at least for the first week, so you don't feel stressed or rushed!

👧🧒 Elementary families: Please plan to park and meet your child's teacher at their sidewalk spot at dismissal time.

🔒 For safety, students cannot be released to anyone who is not on their approved pick-up list. If someone else will be picking up your child, please fill out the authorization form in the office. All sidewalk pickup people must be approved in advance.

We can't wait to soar through the 26-27 school year and watch our Eagles fly! 🦅✨

A huge thank you to Heart of West Michigan United Way’s Stuff the Bus program for selecting West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science to receive school supplies!

We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation and for the support of our school community. We look forward to putting these supplies to great use as we prepare for another wonderful school year! 💚
