Tonight Wall Community First Aid Squad teamed up with South Wall Fire Rescue and Wall PD for a Search and Rescue drill in Allaire State Park. All departments worked together to find the "missing, injured person" that was located several miles into the park. Allaire State Park is a heavily wooded venue that encompasses roughly 3,205 acres, which is approximately 5 square miles, and is a mecca for mountain biking and hiking. After a long search with many of it done on foot, the person was located, injuries were treated and the person was extricated out of the woods to a waiting ambulance.

It is mission readiness training like this that allow these departments to stay sharp and protect the citizens and visitors of Wall Twp.

A big thank you to South Wall Fire Rescue for coordinating the drill!

Great work all around!!

Yesterday was the 4th and last stop on the 2026 CPR Tour of the Wall Elementary Schools. Wall Community First Aid Squad provided training at the West Belmar Elementary School for the 5th grade class. The students were taught CPR, First Aid for Choking, and the 9-1-1 system. These energetic students gave their all to learn these lifesaving skills.

This program which started in 2007 has taught these lifesaving skills to thousands of 5th graders throughout the years in the Wall School District.

This program has been possible by the cooperative efforts of the Wall School District and the many members of Wall Community First Aid Squad who volunteer their time for this program. Also through the generosity of LifeForce USA, Inc. and the American Heart Association, who donate the materials to keep the program growing.

That's a wrap for the 2026 Tour, until next year!

Join these 5th graders and become a Hero!

Yesterday, members of Wall Community First Aid Squad once again had the pleasure of teaching Trauma First Aid skills to the cadets at the New Jersey Youth Challenge Academy. This incredible academy that has been around for 30, giving at-risk teens the chance to receive their high-school diploma and succeed in life. After graduation, many go into the military or onto careers in Law Enforcement.

The cadets were taught skills such as anatomy and physiology, shock syndromes, Rule's of 9, the MARCH Assessment, and how to treat Massive Bleeding as well as other Trauma events.

The cadets were AWESOME!! Members of Wall Community First Aid love volunteering their time in teaching and preparing these cadets.

Equipment and materials for the classes were donated by LifeForce USA, Inc.
