The Township of Wall proudly invites the community to a special Tree Dedication Ceremony at the Harry J. Rockafeller Memorial!

As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary and Wall Township’s 175th Anniversary, we will dedicate a very special Gettysburg Honey Locust tree—a descendant of the historic Abraham Lincoln Honey Locust that stood in Soldiers’ National Cemetery at Gettysburg when President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863.

🌳 Planted alongside the Rockafeller Memorial, this living tribute will create a symbolic connection between Gettysburg and the battlefields of World War II, honoring generations of Americans whose service and sacrifice helped shape our nation.

Though the original historic tree is gone, its descendants continue to grow—just as the legacy of those who served our nation lives on. 🇺🇸

What a beautiful evening in Wall Township! Thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday, October 13th, for the Princeton Elm Tree Dedication Ceremony at the Wall Township Municipal Complex!

As we celebrate Wall Township’s 175th Anniversary and America’s 250th Birthday, this special dedication was a meaningful opportunity to honor our rich history, celebrate our community, and look toward the future.

🌳 The Princeton Elm will stand as a living symbol of strength, resilience, and community pride—a lasting reminder of our shared heritage for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank you to our Township Committee, everyone who helped make this ceremony possible, and all the residents and guests who joined us for this wonderful occasion. Your presence made the evening truly special!

🌳 Storm Brush Pickup Notice 🌳

As a result of the storm events this past weekend, the Wall Township Department of Public Works will conduct a storm brush pickup to assist residents with storm cleanup.

🗓️ Brush must be placed curbside no later than:
• Monday, October 5th

This pickup will provide residents with ample time to place storm-related brush at the curb for collection.

Please follow the brush collection guidelines:
✔️ Place brush curbside.
✔️ Cut brush into lengths no greater than 4 feet.
✔️ Maximum pile size: 4 feet high × 3 feet wide × 8 feet long.
✔️ Stack brush neatly to allow for safe and efficient collection.

🚜 In the meantime, Department of Public Works crews will continue working throughout the Township to remove fallen trees and limbs from Township property and public roadways to help ensure safe travel and restore affected areas.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as our crews continue their storm cleanup efforts. Thank you to our dedicated DPW staff for their hard work and commitment to keeping Wall Township safe.

The new process may remediate PFAS that have contaminated farmland for decades while removing CO2 from the atmosphere. The new approach also allows previously contaminated cropland to once again be used for agriculture — unlike current remediation methods.

The goats are back in Sea Girt for their August run to eat up the invasive plants around Wreck Pond. You can visit them, but don't feed them 🐐
