The EMS Levy is not a new tax. In fact, it has been in place since 1990, requiring a vote of the people every 6 years for reapproval and continuation.

The EMS levy helps support your local fire department or fire district with funding to provide Emergency Medical Services. Below is a picture of members of Walla Walla County Fire District 2 participating in vehicle stabilization and extrication training.
