Stop. Trains Can't.
• Use authorized crossings, which are approved intersections where a railway and a roadway meet at the same level.
• Be extra cautious as passive crossings do not have flashing lights and gates.
• Slow down, look both ways, and listen.
• Be prepared to stop and wait for the train to pass but NEVER stop on the tracks.
• Never race a train.

New e-bike laws take effect today in Washington State. To help keep our community informed, we have prepared an informational flyer outlining the key changes and requirements. Officers will also be distributing these flyers throughout the community.

At the Walla Walla Police Department, we believe education is an important part of public safety. Our goal is to ensure residents are aware of new laws and understand how they may affect them. We encourage everyone to review the information and help us keep our roads and pathways safe for all users.
