🚨 URGENT — DRONES MUST STAY OUT OF ACTIVE FIRE ZONES 🚨

If you are flying a drone anywhere near an active fire, LAND IT IMMEDIATELY.

Drones are interfering with firefighting operations and putting firefighters, pilots, and the public at risk. When a drone is detected in the fire area, firefighting aircraft may be forced to stop operations.

This is not a spectator event. Your drone could prevent aircraft from dropping water or retardant when they are needed most.

KEEP YOUR DRONE GROUNDED. DO NOT FLY IN OR NEAR AN ACTIVE FIRE ZONE.

🚩 RED FLAG WARNING – SATURDAY, AUGUST 1 🚩

Shoshone County residents: Please be advised that the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

These conditions create a critical fire weather environment, where any fire that starts can spread rapidly due to strong winds, low humidity, and dry fuels.

We ask everyone to do their part to help prevent wildfires by:
• Avoiding open burning.
• Using equipment safely and avoiding activities that may create sparks.
• Securing trailer chains to prevent them from dragging.
• Properly disposing of ci******es.
• Remaining alert and reporting any signs of smoke or fire immediately.
