The officers and members of the Wallace Fire Department would like to express our deepest sympathy and condolences for the loss of Retired Deputy Chief 4 of Lumberport and Bridgeport Fire Captain Randy Scott who was a legend in the fire service in Harrison County. His loss will be felt very deeply not only by his family but by the fire service as well. Rest in Peace, sir.

I want to thank all of the people in Harrison County that went to the polls yesterday, and voted to continue the vital service levy for EMS /Animal Control/Parks and Rec.,Etc.. This levy covers so many good programs. We rely on you citizens of Harrison County to fund these programs, and you came through for us. I myself just wanted to get on here, and tell you how much we appreciate all of you ,and to thank you again for your support in what we all do, and what the people do to keep these programs going.

We had a 121 bikes and buggies and 216 riders plus several visitors who showed up to support us by buying food and raffles who weren’t able to ride. We are so thankful to everyone who showed up to support us yesterday and especially thankful this morning to our moms and dads who call themselves our volunteers worked so hard to help us pull the event off and who froze their booties off yesterday to make sure the event was a success. Janie, Donna, Becky, Chris, Gary, and our brother “Little” Chris who helped with tear down, thank you so so much. We had members at registration, parking, and on the ride. We were blessed with a cold but successful day.
