💜 September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month 💜

Sometimes the person who is struggling the most is the person you would never expect:

🩵They may still go to work
💜They may still laugh with friends.
🩵They may still take care of everyone around them.
💜They may still say, “I’m fine.”

That’s why checking in matters.
You don’t need to be a counselor or have the perfect words. Sometimes it starts with something as simple as:
“I’ve noticed you haven’t seemed like yourself lately. How are you really doing?” Sometimes something as small as asking questions and showing you care can make a difference.

Listen without judgment. Take what they tell you seriously. Remind them that asking for help is okay.

If you’re the one having a hard time right now, please remember this:
You do not have to wait until things become unbearable before reaching out. You deserve support on the hard days, too. You are not alone.

🩵Check in
💜Listen
🩵Stay connected
💜Keep the conversation going

📸 Safety First: First Day of School Pictures 🍎✏️

The first day of school is an exciting milestone, and it's natural to want to share those special memories with family and friends. Making sure you check your child's photo for personal information before posting could help keep them safe.

When sharing first-day photos:
✅ Choose a simple or blurred background.
✅ Keep school names, teacher names, bus numbers, and addresses out of the picture.
✅ Avoid signs that include your child's full name or other identifying details.
✅ Let their smile be the focus, not their personal information.

Did you know? Your photos may also include your location through GPS metadata. Turning off location for your camera is another simple way to help protect your family's privacy.

Android 📱 Phone Settings → Apps → Camera → Permissions → Turn Location off

iPhone (iOS) 📱 Phone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Camera → Change access to Never

A few simple steps can help protect your child's privacy while still celebrating this exciting milestone.
Wishing all students, families, teachers, and school staff a safe, fun, and successful school year! ❤️🍎

National Wellness Month: Healthy Boundaries

Healthy boundaries help protect your time, energy, and emotional well-being. Setting boundaries allows you to show up as your best self for the people and things that matter most.

Remember:
• It's okay to say no without feeling guilty.
• You don't have to answer every phone call or text immediately.
• Make time to rest and recharge.
• Surround yourself with people who respect your boundaries.
• Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

✨ You deserve relationships that respect your limits and a life that values your peace. Your boundaries matter.

National Wellness Month: Managing Stress Matters

Stress is something we all experience, but carrying it alone can take a toll on both our mental and physical well-being. Taking time to care for yourself isn't selfish, it's essential.

This month, challenge yourself to practice one small stress-management habit each day:
💜 Take a 10-minute walk outside.
💜 Pause for a few slow, deep breaths. 💜 Spend time with someone who makes you feel supported.
💜 Set healthy boundaries and give yourself permission to say "no."
💜 Make time for a hobby or activity that brings you joy.
💜 Reach out for help if life feels overwhelming.

Remember, managing stress doesn't mean eliminating every challenge, it means building healthy ways to cope with them.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, know that you don't have to face it alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, and help is available.
Let's make wellness a priority this month, one small step at a time.

💚 International Self-Care Day 💚

Today is a reminder that taking care of yourself isn't selfish, it's essential.
Self-care isn't always bubble baths and spa days. Sometimes it's setting healthy boundaries, asking for help, getting enough sleep, or taking a few quiet moments to breathe. Caring for yourself allows you to better care for the people and responsibilities that matter most.
Here are a few simple ways to practice self-care today: Take a short walk outside and enjoy some fresh air. Drink plenty of water and nourish your body. Prioritize a good night's sleep. Read a chapter of a book or spend time on a hobby you enjoy. Step away from social media for a while. Reach out to someone you trust if you're feeling overwhelmed. Give yourself permission to say "no" when you need to protect your time and energy.
Remember: You don't have to earn rest. Your mental, emotional, and physical well-being matter every single day, not just today.

💛Disability Celebration month💛

Disability Celebration Month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of the disability community while recognizing that every person deserves dignity, respect, and equal opportunities. It is celebrated annually in July for the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act signed into law on July 26, 1990. Throughout this month, we honor the disability community by celebrating its history, recognizing its accomplishments, and supporting ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive and accessible future for all.
Disability does not define a person's worth, potential, or ability. This month reminds us to challenge stereotypes, promote accessibility, and create communities where everyone feels valued and included.
Let's celebrate the unique talents, voices, and experiences of people with disabilities, not just this month, but every day.
Together, we can build a more inclusive community where everyone belongs.
