While most of the City is restored for water but under a boil water advisory, our neighbors in Novi are still out.

There's plenty of available water for drinking or anything else here at the Walled Lake Fire station on 1499 East West Maple.

It's set up to just drive through and pick up pre-filled bags.

Stop by and pick some up!

Late yesterday evening, the department responded to two calls for commercial structure fires within a narrow two hour window.
The first was a report of a grease fire at the Copper Mug. Crews responded and found the fire was out. We are happy to report that there were no reported injuries or loss to the business.

The second call involved a report of a large air compressor unit on fire within Husky Envelope. Upon arrival, the building had thick smoke conditions with all employees out of the building. The incident was contained to the unit with no injuries.

This morning we're happy to hear that the Copper Mug was able to continue business!

Had a great time this weekend attending local trunk or treat events!
On Saturday we were at The River Trunk or Treat and Sunday was Mayor Ackley Trunk or Treat.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the peaceful passing of our friend and brother Sergeant Kirk Thompson. After a long and heroic battle Sergeant Thompson finally succumbed to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) better known as Lou Gerig's disease. He is remembered with an overwhelming love and respect by those who knew him. He is a man who has quietly carved out a lasting legacy of friends and family who will never forget him and always miss him. Sergeant Thompson was the portrait of strength without struggle and friendship without conditions. Our hearts are filled with great pride for having the honor of serving with him and a deep sadness for having lost him.

He will be forever missed and his memory forever cherished. We love you Kirk!

9/26/2025 - Drinking water is available again today at the fire station for anyone needing it. Great Lakes Water Authority will have a tanker truck on site giving out water along with cases of bottled water available from the City.
