WHAT A WAY TO END THE YEAR!!!
In a historic performance that redefined excellence in Texas 6A
academics, Waller High School (WHS) returned home from Austin with 11 STATE MEDALS and a legacy cemented in the
record books.
By clinching the State Championship once again, WHS has achieved what no other 6A program in Texas history has
done before: four consecutive state titles in the event. This unprecedented "four-peat" marks a
level of dominance rarely seen in the competitive world of UIL Academics. The team is led by Coach William Rice.

The "Iron Man" of Waller: Caden Sanchez
Caden Sanchez deserves special praise for a legendary finish to his individual career this past
weekend. As a distinguished four-time state meet participant, Sanchez achieved the remarkable
feat of medaling in every appearance. This year's success included medals in both Journalism -
Copy Editing and Literary Criticism, securing back-to-back honors in both categories. Furthermore, Caden is now one of just three students in the history of Waller UIL to earn
individual state medals in two separate events.
