For the first time in our recent history we have brothers working here at the fire department. Firefighter /Paramedic James DeBisschop (right) and his recently hired brother Jack DeBisschop (left) is an EMT in our EMS division.

We want to share this picture from The Farms Country Club.
Today the Wallingford Fire Department along with the State FMO will be conducting live fire training. This training will be on the Farms Country Club property and will include controlled live fire training.
If you see smoke and fire in that area between the hours of 9:00 and 12 noon don’t be alarmed, and no need to call 911 as we are all aware and safely training.
Live fire training is a valuable training tool and anytime we can safely acquire a structure it is invaluable to our firefighters and fire marshals office.
Thank you to the Farms Country Club in allowing us this invaluable training opportunity.

Congratulations to our two newest Medical Safety Officers (MSO). Firefighter/ Paramedic Charles Bynum and Firefighter / Paramedic David Perrelli were promoted today and will start in their new positions on July 23.

The department would like to announce the promotions of Dan Telgarsky and Ben Fox to our newly created position of Medical and Safety Officer. A big congratulations to both!
These new positions greatly enhance our service delivery, ensuring an additional ALS (paramedic) provider as well as a fireground safety officer on their assigned shifts.
We would like to thank Mayor Cervoni and the town council for approving these important positions. Also a thank you to our Human Resources Department for assisting in this promotional process.
