We want to welcome and congratulate CPT Hameed, Irbaz who recently took the oath of office and was rendered the first salute by Wallingford Medical Recruiting Station to become a surgeon for the U.S. Army. Upon discussing his future obligations as a reservist, Dr. Hameed and his wife Faiza expressed great interest in the prospect of speaking on behalf of U.S. Army and the Army Medical Department to surrounding Connecticut healthcare facilities and universities. CPT Hameed’s experience in cardiologic health sciences is vast, and he is excited to give back and do his civic duty as an Officer in the United States Army. 🩺

There is no magic to success. It’s about hard work, choices and persistence. 💪

Friends and family from across the country who have known, supported and mentored Dennikeya Randolph, gathered to celebrate the transition from enlisted USAR Soldier to Active Duty Officer. The evening’s special guest was SFC(R) Lisa Rodriquez, CPT Randolph’s JROTC instructor at James Hillhouse High School. “You were always absorbed in books, and always knew you wanted to be an Army Pharmacist”, she stated in her remarks. Giving her first salute was SFC Hairston, Dennikeya’s unofficial career long enlisted advisor. In many ways, the evening was a celebration of her time in USAR and within the non-commissioned officer corps.

“I’ve known you and your family since the beginning. This has been a long time coming.” She stated after receiving her silver dollar. Dennikeya’s poise and demeanor throughout the ceremony exuded a readiness for what is to come. “I want to thank God, my friends and family, the Wallingford AMEDD recruiting station and everyone here for this night. This is the realization of a dream.” 🇺🇸
