The members of East Wallingford are saddened to hear of the passing of former member Robert Parisi. Along with being a civic icon in town, Bob was a long time volunteer fireman, serving with distinction through the 1960s, 70's and into the 80's.

Following his active service, Bob continued to advocate for our members and was a fixture at company events, often taking the time to reminisce with younger folks on his days on the line with the company.

We appreciate Bob's service, the life long contributions made to the community and to our department. Rest easy brother, you will be missed.

The Town of Wallingford mourns the passing of Robert “Bob” Parisi, a longtime public servant and dedicated member of the Wallingford community.

Bob served on the Wallingford Town Council for more than 36 years, including 18 years as Council Chairman. He is pictured here in front center in this old Town Council photo. Throughout his years of service, he played an important role in the life of our town, and was known for his commitment to Wallingford, his willingness to work with others, and his dedication to public service.

Bob was more than a longtime Council member. To generations of residents and fellow public servants, he was a mentor, advisor, and friend. His knowledge of Wallingford and his years of service helped shape the community we know today.

In 2015, Bob was honored at his final Town Council meeting for his decades of service to Wallingford. That night, the Council chambers in Town Hall were renamed in his honor. His contributions to our town will be remembered for many years to come.

The Town of Wallingford extends its deepest condolences to Bob’s family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

Thank you, Bob, for a lifetime of service to Wallingford. You will be missed ❤️

This weekend, East Side members got to spend some quality time with our good friends at Kick For A Cause Womens Soccer. We were honored to again be asked to provide standby coverage at their two-day charity soccer tournament, which benefits Chrysalis Domestic Violence Services!

As excited as we were to participate, our members were so happy to see returning teams and players from last year's games which included our friends from Long Island who happened to come out on top in their division this year! These awesome ladies signed a team photo for us, which now graces our station's dayroom wall.

Hope to see you all again next year!

Please come out and help support Tracey Bonet and the entire Bonet family as Tracey battles pancreatic cancer. Every little bit will make a huge difference supporting the family during their time of need.

Jaime is currently a career firefighter with the City of Hamden, but he started his career with many dedicated years of service to the citizens of Wallingford with the East Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department. THIS IS OUR TIME TO GIVE BACK AND SAY THANKS!

Come join us on July 31st from 4pm to 8pm at the East Wallingford Fire Station, 2 Kondracki Ln. We will be serving pasta with meatballs and Italian bread with salad. In addition to the dinner, we will have various raffles, silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle.

There are areas of Wallingford which are not serviced by municipal water mains or fire hydrants. The East Side and North Farms volunteer stations operate tankers in order to bridge that water supply gap.

Saturday morning saw great weather and the opportunity to train with the on duty career shift on tanker operations. See the shared post from the main Wallingford FD page!

Members from the East Side on a 3AM trip to assist our brothers and sisters in North Branford this past Friday. Strong work by North Branford Fire Department North Branford Fire Department Company 2 handling a challenging early morning job, and bring all their members home safe.

Two member crew on Tanker 8, and a three member crew operating spare Engine 5 as Engine 8.

A great update from the main Wallingford Fire Department page!

East Side members took in four of the assignments mentioned, to include a structure fire, electrical hazard on a building, brush fire, and a medical emergency.

As always, our members are proud to serve the Wallingford Community, along side our brothers and sisters in the other WFD companies.
