The Wallingford Fire and Police departments staged a motor vehicle accident at Sheehan High School this past Thursday. It shows the reality of driving while impaired. Many departments do this prior to proms to hopefully deliver the message of what can happen if driving while impaired. Multiple companies used hydraulic and battery powered rescue tools to remove the doors and roofs of vehicles to gain access to the victims to treat and transport via ground ambulance or Lifestar helicopter.
