It's Women's Equality Day! 💪

Today, we're reminded of all the women past and present who have pushed for our equal rights. The fight for women's equality was central to the founding of the League of Women Voters more than 100 years ago. However, the fight for democracy continues today.

Can you help us continue to stand up for women's rights by supporting LWVPA? 🌻

On this day in 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified after generations of women marched, lobbied, and refused to quit. This was a milestone, not a finish line: Native, Asian, Latina, and many African American women wouldn't gain full access to the ballot until years later. The League of Women Voters was founded six months before ratification. We honor all who fought then and all who carry that fight now.

✅ Take action and join the League to continue to fight for voting rights and democracy!

From ACLU of Pennsylvania and Promote the Vote PA Register: https://mobilize.us/s/mV7O9d/r
The 2026 Midterms are only a few months away and the courts are active with election law cases. Recent rulings from SCOTUS, lower federal courts, and PA state courts have addressed various aspects of election processes and many voters are understandably confused. Steve Loney, Sr. Supervising Attorney with ACLU, will be helping us understand what’s happening in the courts, what it means for PA voters and how you can help ensure free and fair elections.
