The Wallington Fire Department has a public safety reminder! Clearing snow from fire hydrants is crucial for public safety.

Here's why:

Quick access: In case of an emergency, firefighters need to be able to access the hydrant quickly.

Saving time: Clearing snow from hydrants saves precious time, allowing firefighters to focus on putting out the fire.

Preventing accidents: Blocked hydrants can lead to accidents or injuries if firefighters have to waste time searching for an accessible hydrant.

Residents can help by:
• Clearing snow at least 3 feet around the hydrant
• Making sure the hydrant is visible from the street
• Being mindful of hydrant locations when snowblowing or plowing

Come see Santa riding in on a fire truck decorated with festive Christmas lights, along with beautifully lit apparatus, holiday music, and magical displays that bring the season to life.

On Saturday & Sunday Members of Wallington Truck Company 201 will be out on the corners of Paterson/Locust & Main/Locust conducting it's yearly " BOOT " fund drive. The "BOOT" drive assists us with the up keep of the firehouse, the memorial area & additional fire/safety equipment
