Are you ready to roll the dice, embark on a grand quest, and share some laughs?
All personnel are invited to a fantastic get-together of fellow adventurers. It's time to show off your D&D skills in a day of fun and friendly competition to see who is the most clever adventuring party in the realm!

ATTENTION!
Please be aware that our 80 gallon tank is not keeping up with heavy shower usage. Our most patronized hours are 0600-0700 and 1130-1630. Plan workouts accordingly if you need the showers, they need a good hour or so after the crowd leaves to heat back up.

Join us!

Saturday Feb. 21, 1000-1800, Wallops Island MWR will be hosting a Dungeons & Dragons tournament at the Liberty Center.

We are calling all heroes, from seasoned veterans to freshly minted squires, to join us for a day of epic quests, fearsome monsters, and legendary treasures.

If you have the courage to face the challenges that await, please stop by and fill out the registration form at Liberty Center to declare your intent to participate. You may also email [email protected] your declaration of intent, include name, unit/dept., email, phone number, and any team members and their info.
Whether you come as a lone wolf or as part of a mighty party, we welcome you to join our ranks! We look forward to seeing you there.

Health Hints:

Women, did you know as we age, estrogen levels decrease, which leads to a drop in bone density. This means older women start to become more at risk for bone fractures. Weight training for women over 50 can combat this effect while also preventing the loss of muscle as you age. Lifting 2-3 times weekly boosts metabolism, enhances balance, and prevents injury. The benefits of strength training for females are numerous, but many women overlook strength training. Strengthening bones and building muscle for women is important for lng term health!

Here is a full body, weight lifting workout you can follow. I recommend twice a week. you don't have to do alot, you just need to make a routine. Starting with twice a week makes it obtainable and builds the habit. Add a third in a couple months!

You should use an amount of weight that you can handle that will have you struggling on the last 1 or 2 reps.

Front Squat (3 sets of 8-15 reps)

Stiff leg dead lift (3setsof 8-15 reps)

Bent over Dumbell Rows(3 sets of 6-15 reps)

Chest Press (3 sets of 6-15 reps)

Shoulder Press (3 sets of 6-15 reps)

Standing Biceps Curls (3 sets of 6-15 reps)

RKC Plank (Hold for 20-60 secnds)

Bicycle Crunches (30-60 seconds)
