We are proud to honor Beau Gutfreund as our Volunteer of the Month! Thank you, Beau, for the amazing work you and your team have done with us at Curry Canyon Ranch!

In honor of the historic American Discovery Trail relay race, which crosses through the Mount Diablo region, you have the opportunity to join the Mayor of Walnut Creek for breakfast at Heather Farm Park's picnic area #10 on July 7 at 8:30 AM!

Celebrating our county's 250th anniversary, the relay race will cross the entirety of the 6,800-mile American Discovery Trail from California to Delaware, where it will end on Thanksgiving Day.

The race will cross the Golden Gate Bridge on the 4th of July, then in the following days it will cross through the Mount Diablo region!

Our stewardship team is the G.O.A.T! This May, Goats R Us Company brought 560 goats out to one of our protected properties, Lot 25, to help with reducing the risk of wildfire.

In just two days, the herd munched through the entire 5-acre property!

We brought together participants representing nearly 70 organizations up and down the over-200-mile Diablo Range for the second annual Diablo Range convening.

As threats to these sacred mountains mount, Save Mount Diablo is working to make the Diablo Range be recognized as California's next great conservation story. The connections make at Diablo Range convening are bringing us far closer to that ambitious goal.

This community spans 12 counties; it includes California tribes, agencies, land trusts, resource conservation districts, ranchers, conservation lobbyists, local landowners, recreationists, photographers, and others.

Though only 27 percent of the range is protected, it is home to rare and endangered species such as the San Joaquin kit fox, blunt-nosed leopard lizard, California condor, and tule elk. Some of these species are so imperiled that they have long teetered on the brink of extinction.

Get a closer look at the convening, and how we're bringing people and organizations together for the Diablo Range on our website. We'll post the link in the comments section below.

California's public lands are once again under threat! Tell Governor Newsom to stand up and publicly oppose the federal government's attempts to drill California's irreplaceable public lands.

The Bureau of Land Management just finalized plans to open more than 1 million acres of California's public lands to oil drilling and fracking.

This plan is both terrible and against state law, meaning that Governor Newsom has the authority to act.

Please send a letter to Governor Newsom, and ask him to exercise his 60-day Governor’s Consistency Review, enforce California's environmental and public health laws, and publicly oppose Trump's attempt to hand our public lands to Big Oil.

Thanks to your overwhelming support, we're soaring past our spring fundraising goal!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Spring Appeal. Together more than 260 donors have raised over $220,000 in conservation funding for Save Mount Diablo.

We want to give special recognition to the amazing anonymous donors who contributed to to this campaign. Thank you for the support; your generosity makes a huge difference!

Though only 27 percent of it is protected, the 205-mile Diablo Range is filled with rare and endangered species, including California condors, which have soared up to visit the East Bay annually for the past five years.

You are helping to build a mosaic of protected lands up and down the Diablo Range, so that endangered species like California condors have the room they need to survive and thrive as they recover from near extinction.
