Hiking season is here and the beautiful Sulphur Creek Trail is just one of many hikes to explore.

The Sulphur Creek is gurgling again along the Sulphur Creek Trail and winter rains have rendered the grass a gorgeous green. Put on your hiking shoes (it’s still muddy in some parts) and enjoy the mini waterfalls and wildflowers along this .7 mile moderate dirt trail that ends at the currently brimming Sulphur Creek Pond.

Getting there: Walk up or park on Snyder Lane and follow the path to the left after you come through a metal gate. Walk along a drive for a few hundred yards until you see another gate on your right marked Shell Ridge Open Space, Sulphur Creek Trail. If you want a longer walk, the path intersects with the Costanoan Trail a 2.5 mile mostly loop walk along the Costanoan Ridge.

Registration for the 2023 swim season is open at Scottsdale Swim Club (SSC) for kids 4-18. Swim team pre-season starts April 4 and runs to Aug 5. Scottsdale Swim and Tennis Club

Swim season also starts in April at Rancho San Miguel (RSM), home to the Polar Bears and Polar Cub swim teams Rancho San Miguel Swim Club & Team - RSM
