Busy day at CMSFP this morning! Still lots of trees and lines from from the storm, but we had over 80 families come by and we were able to put over 2,500 pounds of food into the communities of Leake, Scott, Newton, and Neshoba counties. A huge shout out to our volunteers that make it happen!

It’s a great day to do something for your community. Get out and make a difference like our faithful volunteers do all the time! We could not do what we do without each partner-from those that send $ to purchase food, those that come by to help with odd jobs, the farmers that donate eggs, produce, etc. when you have an abundance, those that pack and distribute to those in healthcare, LE and other agencies that carry an emergency box when they see a need. THANK YOU! It takes every cog in the wheel to do what we do.
We met this morning at daylight to begin packing and distributed close to 100 boxes before we ran out. That’s over 3,000 pounds of food into the communities of Leake, Scott, Neshoba and Newton counties. Great job TEAM!!

Hot and muggy this morning, but we were able to put over 2,500 pounds of food into our community this morning. Grateful for those that came and worked to make it possible, to Walnut Grove, Mississippi for the continued support and for their partnership. It’s a great day to do something for your community!!

It’s a great day to help our neighbors and communities! We were able to distribute over 3,000 pounds of food today with the greatest group of volunteers ever! Thanks to our partner Mississippi Food Network for most of the products, including the fresh tomatoes!

Thanks to everyone that turned out today to help distribute over 3500 pounds of food into our local communities. Lots of inclement weather yesterday afternoon and last night, and some still did not have power this morning, but they came on anyway and made it happen. Shout out to Ralph B who was out all night with the Fire Department clearing roads, etc. and coming to help this morning without too much sleep. We were able to give out fresh potatoes, fresh, grapefruit, and fresh eggs made possible by
MS Food Network , city of Walnut Grove, Mississippi and Whitley Fanguy Thrash!

The ‘Easter Snap’ did not keep our faithful volunteers away and we were able to distribute over 2,500 pounds of food into our communities this morning. We appreciate our partnership with the town of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, and those that support our mission in making these distributions possible. Have a great weekend!
