Have you been to one of our free fishing clinics before? 👀 We host fishing clinics for beginners in different areas of our watershed, promoting responsible fishing habits and fun for the kiddos! During each clinic, kids learn how to cast, tie their own knots, handle fish safely, and so much more! 🎣 Cast into the Coosa during our next clinic ⬇️

Thank You for your efforts!

We are working with Auburn University and the EPA this fall to install multiple trash traps on Choccolocco Creek. These efforts, along with the installation of monofilament stations, microplastics testing, and cleanups, will help our organization collect data on plastic pollution in our watershed during a three year project. The trash trap pictured does not belong to our organization, but is an example of what each trash trap will look like once they have been constructed and placed in the creek.

We are asking property owners along Choccolocco Creek for permission to install trash trap anchor points and to access property for monthly monitoring visits from Coosa Riverkeeper and volunteers.
