Union Center Theo Volunteer F.D.

On April 22nd at approximately 2:06 PM, the Union Center Theo Volunteer Fire Department and Kossuth Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to County Road 638 for a woods fire.

Upon arrival, fire department personnel worked to slow the spread of the fire. Assistance was received from the Spout Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Mississippi Forestry was also requested to plow a containment line around the fire.

All units returned to service after operations were complete.

March 14th at approximately 3:25 PM, the Union Center Theo Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass and woods fire on County Road 655. Engine 90, Rescue 95, and Brush Truck 97 were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found both sides of the road on fire. Firefighters began suppression efforts and requested additional assistance. Mutual aid responded from Alcorn County SORT, Kossuth Fire Department, and Falkner Fire Department.
The Mississippi Forestry Commission was also called to the scene to plow fire lines around the affected area to help contain the fire.
Thanks to the quick response and teamwork of all departments involved, the fire was brought under control and further spread was prevented. 🚒🔥

🚒 A huge THANK YOU to our amazing community for coming out last night to the 2nd Annual Fury in the 5th II event and purchasing concessions in support of the fire department! We truly appreciate everyone who stopped by, grabbed something to eat, and helped support our department.
