Join us tonight for the final celebration of our Summer Reading Program. 📚 Come celebrate a summer filled with reading, learning, and fun as we wrap up the season with a community cookout at 6pm before everyone heads back to school. We’ll have the Walnut Fire Department 🚒 bringing their fire truck to help everyone cool off with some water fun, and Tropical Weaver Snow Cones 🍧 will be there serving up something sweet. As a special thank you, all children who actively participated in this year’s Summer Reading Program will receive a free snow cone voucher. 🎟️ Don’t forget to bring a towel and a change of clothes. The fire department will be helping everyone cool off, so be prepared to get a little wet!! We hope you’ll come celebrate with us as we close out another wonderful summer of reading. Thank you to all of the families who participated. We can’t wait to see everyone tonight!!

Week three of our summer reading program will be exploring Geos and minerals come join in on the fun from 5 to 6 PM

What an amazing evening we had at our summer reading program. We talked about the layers of the Earth and how the crust of the Earth was mainly rock. The kids got to discover different types of rocks, and started a rock collection. We ended the night making a layered dirt pudding cup for snack. But thank you to everyone that came and helped out.

Tonight Monday, July 13th will be our summer reading program from 5 PM to 6 PM. Come join in on the fun. We will be talking about the layers of the Earth, making a layered, pu pudding dessert and do some rock collecting, hope to see everybody tonight.🌎🪨🛘

We had a good group of kids last night for our first summer reading program. They enjoyed a story making a solar system mobile and having a fruit solar system snack thank you to all the kids and parents that came.

Tonight begins our SUMMER READING PROGRAM. It will be on Mondays July 6, 13, 20, & 27. 5:00pm-6:00pm.
WE are beginning with the Solar system and where earth placement is near the other planets. Hope to see everyone.

We are absolutely thrilled to see 132 visitors come through our Walnut Library doors this past month! This vibrant turnout is a testament to how much care and connection lives in our small town. A big round of applause to our amazing librarian, Addie Madl whose kindness and dedication makes every visit special. We can’t wait to keep this momentum going— as we head into our Summer Reading Program! 🙌📚
