This program offers everything I mentioned and more and for FREE !! I was a Mt.SAC student last year and transferred to UCLA ... I couldn’t have done without the help of CCCP. Attention Mt. SAC Students and Alumni
TODAY!!!!!! there is a special Board of Trustees Meeting where the Board will decide whether or not to proceed with a Bond Measure that will lead to the construction of the new student center.

I am asking for your help in coming to the Board meeting at 6pm and providing public comments or just being present and packing the room. I want you to convey three things:

1) reminding the Board that the passed two Bond measures you students were PROMISED a Student Center

2) Share your narrative about the positive impact your involvement with Student Life Activities through AS, clubs, and programs has chnaged your life and leadership beliefs and experiences

And
3) tell the Board it is TIME, more so LONG OVERDUE for the College to make good on their promise and that they need to pass this item and prioritize building the new STUDENT CENTER!

I cannot do this alone. The new student center planning involved all of us (the students) and it would have everything you asked for: bigger AS Offices, Club Planning area, Storage space for clubs, a fundraising AS kitchen window ON MIRACLE MILE, a new WOW, a coffee house, GENDER NEUTRAL bathrooms, a lactation room, a meditation/prayer room, sit and relax space, and MULTICULTURAL CENTER!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE can you come and speak on Tuesday 7/24? 🙏🏾. And if you can bring others! Let's overwhelm the Board in a good way! ✊🏽

TODAY ! We need student power ! Come and show support! We need Gender and Ethnic Studies Majors(GES) and non (GES) majors. We need GES studies now more than ever! People need to defend themselves in this current administration and knowledge is power !

"I never knew one ounce of Hawaiian before I came [to] jail....Why couldn't I learn about my culture while I was outiside". This is the reality to many indigenous people locked up they were stripped of their precious ancestral knowledge which ultimately left them without an identity. His rich cultural teachings could have possibly stoped him from going down the wrong road.
