It’s official — I’m running for re-election to the Diamond Bar City Council this November!

With the candidate filing period now closed and no other candidate filing to run in District 3, I will be running unopposed this election cycle, and my name will be the only name for Diamond Bar City Council District 3 appearing on the November ballot.

I am truly humbled by the trust my constituents have placed in me and deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue representing you for another four years. Serving Diamond Bar has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I remain just as committed today as when I first ran for office: to show up, listen, work hard, and deliver results for our community.

While my own race may be uncontested, this election still matters. I encourage everyone to stay informed, stay engaged, and most importantly, vote. Your vote will help shape the future of our city, our state, and our communities—from the priorities we invest in and the services we provide to the opportunities we create for families, businesses, and future generations.

Thank you, Diamond Bar, for your continued trust and confidence. I am grateful for the opportunity to keep serving you and all of Diamond Bar for another four years.

Glad to attend the 2026 State of the Nation with Congresswoman Linda Sánchez and hear directly about her work representing our region in Washington, D.C.

Congresswoman Sánchez has been a strong partner for local communities—advocating for working families, infrastructure, public safety, and economic opportunity while helping bring federal Community Project Funding dollars directly back home. Diamond Bar and neighboring communities have benefited from that partnership, including investments that support local parks, infrastructure, and other community priorities.

Thank you, Congresswoman Sánchez, for continuing to make sure our cities have a voice in Washington and that federal resources make their way back to the communities we serve.

It was a pleasure attending the League of California Cities – Los Angeles County Division Board of Directors Installation Ceremony & Dinner, graciously hosted by the City of Bell.

Congratulations to Mayor Ana Maria Quintana on her installation as the Division’s 2026–2027 President. I also want to thank outgoing President Dr. Britt Huff for her leadership and service over the past year, and recognize the dedicated Los Angeles County Division staff whose hard work behind the scenes makes the Division’s success possible.

The League of California Cities (Cal Cities) is the unified voice of California’s cities, advocating at the State Capitol for local control, fiscal sustainability, public safety, housing, infrastructure, and other issues that directly impact our communities. Through the Los Angeles County Division, our 88 cities work together to shape state policy, share best practices, and ensure local governments have a strong voice in Sacramento. Proud to continue working alongside colleagues from across the region to advocate for the communities we serve.

Thank you to the local business owners, entrepreneurs, and community members who came out to connect, share ideas, and support a Diamond Bar favorite. These monthly gatherings are a great reminder that our local economy is strongest when we show up for one another.

Big thanks to Mr. G’s Pizza for hosting us and serving up great food and hospitality. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next Diamond Bar CEO Circle Lunch Mob!

It was great to join the community today for the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Diamond Bar’s first-ever multi-sport mini-pitch at Pantera Park.

This incredible project is a testament to what strong partnerships can accomplish. Thank you to the Alex Morgan Foundation, Musco Sports Lighting, CVS Health, City staff, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. By working together, we’ve created a space where young people can play, stay active, and build lifelong memories.

A special thank you to Alex Morgan for continuing to inspire generations of young athletes—especially young girls—to dream big, work hard, and believe that anything is possible through sports. Your impact extends far beyond the field, and this mini-pitch will help inspire the next generation right here in Diamond Bar.

Started the morning at Coffee with a Cop, a great opportunity to connect with residents and hear directly about the issues that matter most to our community. Public safety remains our top priority, and events like these remind us that strong relationships between law enforcement and the community are essential to keeping Diamond Bar safe.

Diamond Bar’s 2026 Assessment Roll reached $13.48 billion—an increase of $453.67 million, or 3.5%, over last year. The roll includes 18,789 taxable properties and provides an important snapshot of the strength and stability of our local property base.

The Los Angeles County Assessor is responsible for identifying and fairly assessing taxable property throughout the County. While the Assessor does not set tax rates or collect property taxes, these valuations form the basis for calculating property taxes that support schools, public safety and other essential public services.

On a personal level, I greatly value my partnership with Assessor Jeff Prang. He has consistently been accessible, responsive, and committed to helping our community better understand the property assessment process. I look forward to continuing our work together on behalf of Diamond Bar residents and businesses.

Tonight, the Diamond Bar City Council voted to move forward with placing a local Transactions and Use Tax measure on the November ballot.

Currently, for each $1 spent on a taxable purchase at a Diamond Bar business, the City receives only one penny of the sales tax collected. The remainder is distributed to the state, county, and other agencies.

Under the proposed measure, an additional 1% sales tax would generate approximately $6 million annually—and every penny of that new revenue would remain under local control in Diamond Bar. It could help preserve public safety, maintain streets and infrastructure, care for our parks and public facilities, and protect community programs as the cost of providing these services continues to rise.

With Mayor Pro Tem Low’s support, we will also establish a new council subcommittee so residents can participate in reviewing the revenue and helping guide how these locally generated funds should be allocated.

As a council, we have aggressively, proactively, and strategically cut over $2M in expenses over the last two budget cycles. We have also diligently built up $29 million in savings. But with our expenses projected to grow at over 5% a year, and revenues only increasing at 3% a year over the next 10 years, we simply cannot wait until our reserves deplete before we look for ways to increase our revenue.

That is why we are placing this important decision directly in the hands of Diamond Bar voters this November.

Diamond Bar is our home, and she is worth fighting for.
