Help us help the Walpole Community Food Pantry!

We'll be hosting a paper goods drive here at the South Street Center next Thursday, Nov. 6th. Bring your paper towels and/or toilet paper and help us fill the truck. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.


In Massachusetts, over 1 million people rely on SNAP to help put food on the table.

Of those,
- 33% are children
- 26% are seniors
- 31% have disabilities

Beginning Nov 1, they could lose those benefits due to the government shut down.
The WCFP is already seeing an increase in clients requesting support & the need is only going to grow.

There is no place in our country or our democracy for politically motivated, gun-related violence.

The Walpole DTC remains committed to fighting for public safety measures, common sense reforms, and stronger laws that can protect people from gun violence.

We don’t have to live like this.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out at the No Kings rally here in Walpole and across the country yesterday. It was a much-needed reminder that those who truly support and are ready to defend our Constitution and our country far outweigh those who, for whatever reason, will support party or their candidate over all else, no matter what happens or what it costs our country or our democracy.

But we also must take a moment to share our sadness and horror at the politically motivated, gun-related violence in Minnesota yesterday that took the lives of State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and also seriously injured State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette.

There is no place in our country or our democracy for this violence. That’s why we adamantly choose to not engage in or allow vitriolic rhetoric and/or threats of violence on this page. We know that the work to repair our country, our union, and our democracy will be hard and will be ongoing for years to come, and we will stand with our community members to take on that work and to keep working together as long as we can.

And we will continue to do this work by embracing our neighbors, working for their rights, to make sure everyone feels a sense of belonging, and to make sure our country works for everyone, not the privileged few.

In the immortal words of Dr. King: "I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant." ❤️🇺🇸
