The Walpole Veterans Service Committee would like to acknowledge and recognize the service and ultimate sacrifice made by our own Walpole brothers and sisters. The Walpole Veterans Committee is hereby charged with creating a proce

ss whereby the community will appropriately and respectfully honor and pay respect to and reflect upon the contributions of our Veterans, past, present and future, as well as their families and friends. We must educate ourselves about these men and women who serve and have served in our military and made a difference for world freedom and democracy. We also cannot forget the great toll paid by the families of these brave Americans who suffered injuries and deaths during all conflicts. Now is the time for the Walpole community to give recognition to these brave men and women and we ask for the Townspeople’s support. To that end, this committee shall work in collaboration with the Towns Veterans Agent and Board of Selectmen to serve the needs of current and past Veterans.

Buy-Give-Get Coats

Together, we can help tens of thousands of veterans in need keep warm this winter by donating new winter coats through our Buy-Give-Get program.

Shop at any Ocean State Job Lot store and:

1. Buy a winter coat for $45 (regularly $200).

2. Give the coat you purchased back to the cashier, and we’ll make sure it’s delivered to a veteran in need.

3. Get a $45 Crazy Deal Gift Card – FREE!*

When you use the Crazy Deal Gift Card, your final cost will be zero! There’s no cost to you, and a veteran in need will receive a brand-new winter coat.

Last year, our loyal customers helped us donate 78,000 winter coats to homeless veterans and veterans in need. This is one of our favorite programs, and with your help, we will break our record this year!

Thank you for partnering with us to make a difference!

Restrictions apply for the redemption/use of Crazy Deal Gift Cards. Click here for full details.

Today we honor the brave men and women serving far from home—those who stand watch in distant lands so we may live in peace and freedom here. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication remind us that freedom is never free.
Let us keep all who are deployed—and their families—close in heart and prayer today and always.
