From now through May 30, 2026, you can help Whittemore Elementary School PTO earn "School Dollars" just by shopping at Hannaford.

How it works:
• Shop: Look for over 2,000 participating products at your local Hannaford.
• Earn: Get 3 School Dollars for every 4 participating products you purchase.
• Donate: Scan the QR code on your School Dollar printout to donate directly to our school!

Great job Whittemore! We showed up with 59 runners and volunteers! And congrats to Kennedy Middle School for the most runners!!!

Congratulations to Kennedy Middle School for fielding the most runners and volunteers at the Strides for Education 5K and Kids Fun Run! Kennedy had 82 runners and volunteers with Waltham High School coming in second with 74, and Whittemore in third place with 59 runners and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who ran and volunteered!

this is a bit of a belated post, but we wanted to highlight the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week last week! Pizzi Farm brought their ice cream truck to the teachers thanks to a generous donation from City, counselor Cathyann Harris Ward 8 City Council! We are glad we could thank our wonderful teachers with a sweet treat!

A "Hole" Lot of Thanks to NY Bagel Factory! 🥯

The Whittemore Elementary PTO sends a huge thank you to NY Bagel Factory in Newton for donating their incredible bagels for Teacher Appreciation Week! They are truly unique for their commitment to tradition—using only unprocessed, preservative-free ingredients and boiling their bagels instead of steaming them for that authentic New York texture. We are so grateful to have such a dedicated local partner supporting our school!

¡El PTO de la Primaria Whittemore agradece enormemente a NY Bagel Factory en Newton por donar sus increíbles bagels para la Semana de Apreciación a los Maestros! The Whittemore Elementary PTO sends a huge thank you to El Nacho Factory for donating their incredible chips for Teacher Appreciation Week!
Waltham is lucky to have such a unique local partner. El Nacho stands out for using 100% avocado oil and certified regenerative corn, proving that snacks can be both delicious and sustainable. Their bold Lucha Libre spirit brought so much energy to the staff lounge!
