The purpose of Waltham's Municipal Access Channel, MAC, is to provide the citizen's of Waltham to be connected with local government through the coverage of public meetings, as well as programs that highlight the city's operations. MAC-TV provides extensive coverage of Council and Committee meetings. Live Coverage includes: City Council, School Committee, and Committee of the Whole. Other coverage
includes: Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation Commission, Traffic Commission, Board of Survey and Planning, Recreation Board, Historical Commission, Community Preservation, Housing Authority, License Commission, Ordinance and Rules Committee, and Finance Committee. MAC's goal is to increase the citizen's awareness to the happenings in Waltham and encourage deeper involvment with their local government and elected officials. When tuning into MAC, viewers have the ability to see the inner workings of the City of Waltham. The more informed the residents in Waltham are, the more successful the city will be.
