The City of Waltham owns The Wellington House, an historic building in Waltham, Ma, and the adjacent 5.7 acre Wellington Fields, located at 775 Trapelo Road. Volunteers have been restoring the fields by adding public walking trails, improving access, and removing invasive plants. The Wellington Fields volunteers aim over time to plant and encourage native plants in border areas around the meadow t

o decrease the amount of work dedicated to removing invasive plants, to increase biodiversity for wildlife, and to add interest for visitors.
