The Waltham Family School opened in 2003 to address two primary needs for Waltham families: preschool opportunities for children and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for parents. WFS addresses both needs through a unique collaborative program that prepares children for success in school, empowers parents to be partners with the schools in the education of their children, and strengthens parents’ skills necessary for parenting, workforce and community life.
