We're not fooling - somehow it's already April and we're moving on to the 1940s with Book to the Future! This shot of the library from the corner of Main and Spring Streets was taken circa 1949, when the trees out front were babies and the neighborhood was a bit less commercial.

The Waltham Boys & Girls Club and the Waltham Public Library have long partnered in a shared mission to support children and families across our community. The Library is proud to work alongside the Club, an essential leader in addressing food insecurity among Waltham’s children.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we must temporarily pause the meal program at the library. We know this program has become a reliable, everyday support for children and families, and we recognize the impact this pause may have, particularly for those who count on it as part of their daily routine.

We are actively working toward a solution and treating this as a priority. Meals will resume at the end of June through the Club’s Summer Eats program. In the meantime, an afternoon snack will be available in the Teen Room and Children’s Room around 4 PM.

Together, we remain committed to addressing food insecurity in Waltham and to relaunching a strong, sustainable program in the next school year.

Many community members ask how they can support efforts like this. For those who are interested, contributions to the Waltham Boys & Girls Club or the Friends of the Waltham Public Library directly support programs and services for local children and families.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
