Just opened the library today before Sheri arrives. I can see Walthill is hopping with construction crews everywhere. Utility upgrades, I'm not sure what, but it looks like progress to me. All sorts of good things taking place. I'm feeling optimistic.

I had a great time today hosting the Omaha Nation Diabetes Prevention younger group at the Wathill Library. There is one program left for the summer, and its a wrap. Today I read the story of "The Little Red Hen makes a pizza." We talked about helping out others, and forgiveness. We made our own mini pizzas and then ate Several wanted reminders on how to male at home, so i think it was a hit!

We had 13 kids from Omaha Nation Diabetes Prevention summer program. The kids watched Edgar the eagle puppet show, made their own eagle puppets, worksheets, paired reading and freeplay. Great kids!
By the way, our internet is down. Reported it so now we wait.

Summer program is in full swing. This week on Tuesday I had 14 youth from the Diabetes Prevention Center and one youth that joined us from Walthill. The kids did a variety of projects. They divided into twos to read chosen books and then shared with Miss Nola about the book, and what type of hat the character wore. One of the art projects was a 3 cornered hat like the one George Washington wore. Of course I wore my red derby hat!
