Recommendations from the Couch. Books straight from the new box! This is a non-fiction stack with something for everyone! Learn to live with a child-like attitude (a good one that is) and how AI can never replace human interaction. Then one about famous women in history and a book about punctuation - finally a trio of humerous dictionaries that will leave you in stitches.

So many parents think about looking for advice when the kids are small, but we have lots of books for parents of middle school, high school and students beyond. Many guide you through the changes of parenting so that you can help your young adult be as successful as possible. Others are just funny and make you realize we are all in this together!

Recomendations from the Couch. Gardening in the late summer. If you really want an amazing garden now is the time to shop for perennials and get ready to plant them. Always seems hard to plan in August, but with weather like today it makes perfect sense! Also, don't miss the end of season sales to stock up on planters for next spring.

Thank you everyone for a fantastic Summer Reading Program this year! We will be closed Friday, July 31st for a Staff Day but we will be back to our normal hours starting in August!

Recommendations from the Couch. The dog-days of summer are officially here and the most requested book this week was something for vacation. Not too mind-bending, not too spicy, just something to read by the pool/lake. So I rounded up tried and true authors that write a good summer beach read. These cover from the beaches of southern CA to the cost of the Carolinas; to the lakes of Michigan as well as Long Island.
