We take pride in the opportunity to offer fire protection and emergency response services to both our own community and those surrounding us. Chewton Volunteer Fire Department is located in the Southern area of Lawrence County Pa. A glimpse of our History:
"A committee consisting of Ed Kosior from the Polish Club, Lewis Guy from the Chewton Christian Church, Wm. Goatly of the Colored Church, Sam T

epsich of the Slovak Club, and Jack Hergenrother from the school board met for the purpose of organizing a volunteer fire department. The Following officers were elected:
President- Ed Kosior
V.Pres.- in charge of organization- Sam Tepsich
V.Pres- in charge of equipment- Jack Hergenrother
Sec. - Lewis Guy
Treas.- Wm. Goatly
The president appointed Jack Hergenrother and himself to contact the township supervisors in regard for permission to organize a volunteer fire dept. in Chewton."

And had a hard time with so many orders then i got called out to Pittsburgh for am Emergency call
Took 3 hrs out for that
