The volunteers of the Wanaque Fire Department responded to 33 calls in the month of July. 221 YTD
17- Fire Alarms
1 - Gas Leaks
5 - CO alarms
1- Motor Vehicle Accidents
1- Extrication
4- Mutual Aid Calls
2- Brush Fires
1- Dumpster Fire
1- Lift Assist
5-Fire Drills
Members also attended 1 Company meeting and 1 Department meeting.
There were a total of 462 manhours provided by volunteer firefighters, for the month of July for firematics only. This is not inclusive of manhours utilized performing other necessary Fire Department activities.

We truly appreciate the dedication and service that you provided to the Wanaque Fire Department, Police Department and First Aid Squad over all the years that you served Wanaque Borough. Your cooperation and knowledge of all the emergency services to provide professionalism to us and the residents of Wanaque Borough have not gone unnoticed.
YOU ALL WILL BE TRULY MISSED! We wish you all success in your future endeavors.
We can only hope the the new Passaic County dispatch system can meet the high standards that you have set.

Sadly enough, Wanaque FD was requested to deploy our Swiftwater Rescue Raft to Passaic today to assist with the search of a missing 10 year old girl lost in the Passaic River yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the children involved in this horrific tragedy. We also pray for the safety of all the First Responders involved in this search.

The members of the Wanaque Borough Fire Department are excited to be a part of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memorial Field!

Stop by to meet your local firefighters, check out our fire apparatus, learn about fire safety, and see the equipment we use to protect our community every day. It’s a great opportunity to meet the first responders who proudly serve Wanaque while enjoying an evening filled with food, music, activities, and fun for the whole family.

Have you ever thought about becoming a firefighter? We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to join our department. We’d love to talk with you. Stop by the truck during the event to learn more about what it takes to become a volunteer firefighter and how you can make a difference.
