We would like to congratulate Detective Danielle Conti for receiving the 2025 Knights of Columbus Officer of the year Award. Detective Conti has been serving the borough of Wanaque since 2020 as both a patrolman and eventually earning the position of Detective in 2024, where she continues the tradition of excellence she exemplified while on patrol.

In 2025, Detective Conti assisted a narcotics investigation resulting in a large seizure of CDS. Her strong work ethic resulted in a successful arrest with no officers or other involved parties being injured.

Detective Conti played a large investigative role in a fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred in October of 2025. Detective Conti was essential in helping this tragic event come to the necessary conclusion.

Detective Conti continues to distinguish herself as a critical component to the Wanaque Police Department. Although 2025 was Detective Conti’s first full year as a Detective, she hit the ground running and displayed her willingness to put in the work.🚓🇺🇸🏆

This May officers from Wanaque, Pompton Lakes, Ringwood, West Milford, Bloomingdale and Butler will be wearing a white bracelet in support of our friend Jenna and everyone affected by Granulomatosis.
Many of us have known Jenna since she was a young girl and have witnessed her continuous fight against this rare autoimmune disease. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) causes inflammation of blood vessels, which can lead to damaged organs, particularly the lungs and kidneys. Roughly 3 per 100,000 people in the United States are affected.
Jenna, a town resident and college student has fought this disease head on and continues to inspire us with her determination to overcome all challenges. She is an advocate to bring awareness to the disease and to those who suffer from its symptoms. If you wish to support Jenna in her mission, please stop by headquarters for a free bracelet. We stand with you Jenna! Wanaque PBA 407

Different Badge, Same Commitment

During the month of April, you might notice something different on our uniforms.
Our officers are proudly wearing a special edition badge-light blue with yellow, red, and green accents-to mark Autism Acceptance Month.

This year’s theme, “Autism and Humanity-Every Life Has Value,” emphasizes the dignity, inclusion and unique contributions of every autistic individual in our community.

The Wanaque Police Department is proud to support the neurodivergent community. Our
Goal is to increase understanding and ensure every resident feels seen, heard, and supported. Wanaque PBA 407
