Town of Wann

Town of Wann The town of Wann is located in northwestern Nowata County, approximately sixty miles north of Tulsa and along the Washington County line.

Early in Wann's history there was interest in having the town annexed into Washington County, but the effort failed. Covering less than one square mile, Wann is situated on State Highway 10, which is the town's major public transportation route.

As we all know the roads in Nowata county could use some inprovements. The Oklahoma Dept of transportation has given the task of finding the trouble spots on our county roads to the Grand Gateway Regional Transportation Planning Organization(GGRTPO). The GGRTPO has asked the residents of Nowata county to fill out a survey to help them in the evaluation of the roads in our area. I have provided a link to the survey. REMINDER!
A reminder to all residents of Wann:
Wann has a leash law regarding dogs. All dogs have to be on a leash, in a fenced yard, or in a pen. We have had several reports of dogs being at large and destroying resident's property. If you are not following this law you will be fined or your dog will be picked up. Please follow this law for your dog's sake and the sake of the children and families that play and live in town.

If you need to report a dog out please send email to [email protected] with description of the dog and the location where you saw the dog. Thank you.
