For those of you running on generator while we wait for the power companies to restore service please follow these rules. There's been many 911 calls for seal alarms because generators are either in enclosed spaces or too close to open windows.

This evening we had a powerful thunderstorm come through our town and took down many trees telephone poles power lines. We had multiple calls for motor vehicle accidents with minor injuries due to trees falling. Our crews worked tirelessly with other volunteers and NJSP to clear route 23 at Brown Road, American Way, and the area of Green Valley Farm. We got the roadways open to vehicular traffic. We achieved the ability for our ambulances to respond as we were completely blocked from responding to any calls because of blocked roadways. There are still wires down and the roads are extremely hazardous please travel slowly and watch for debris in the roadway.

Today we are mourning of fellow EMT Jonathan Kressman. Our hearts are broken for his family and his girlfriend. Prayers for peace and comfort.

We have had a busy few days with calls in Wantage and Mutual Aid to Montague, Newton and Sussex. We have been running two staffed trucks. We also had advanced training with St Clares during the same time.
