Wapella Farmers & Merchants Bank Building Historical Bank Building First floor Farmers and Merchants Bank, Grocery and Hardware Store. A large room will be available for rent for private parties.

Several of these rooms will be used for pop up shops on the weekends or Small Business Saturday events. The bank and president's office will be used to display as much historical documents as possible. We have Illinois Central Railroad receipts and tickets dating back to the 1890's. We also have a substantial amount of Wapella school related documents including the original bonds purchased to buil

d the schools. These documents have been around for 100 years just waiting to tell their story. Our plan is to tell the stories for generations to come by preserving and displaying these treasures. Second Floor has several rooms, when renovating is complete, that will be available for office space, art/ music studio or other small businesses.
