Please, Please, Please watch your kiddos in the pool. Our guards are trained to scan and cannot see everything in every single moment. Please talk to them about the importance of safety in AND around water (not even just at the pool). Learning to swim, even the basics, is critical for their safety! We still have openings for lessons!
π May is National Trauma Awareness Month, and this week weβre highlighting the importance of water safety.
Drowning is fast.
Drowning is silent.
And it can happen when we least expect it.
As families spend more time near pools, lakes, and beaches, taking simple precautions can save lives. Active supervision, swim lessons, life jackets, pool barriers, and learning CPR are all important layers of protection. Most importantly β never assume someone else is watching.
Please take a few minutes to review these water safety resources from the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and help keep our children, families, and communities safe this summer. π§
