🫧 There was magic in the air at Myers Corners and Hyde Park Education Centers! 🫧

Charlie and the Bubble Factory brought a spectacular sunny day filled with giant bubbles, laughter, wonder, and plenty of “WOW” moments. Students and staff alike were captivated as bubbles floated, swirled, and stretched across the room, creating an experience that was equal parts fun, sensory exploration, and pure joy.

A heartfelt thank you to the Foundation for Abilities First NY for supporting this bubbly adventure and helping provide enriching experiences that inspire curiosity, connection, and happiness for our students.

🫧Sometimes the best learning experiences come wrapped in a little bit of magic.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

At Abilities First, we recognize that building inclusive communities means valuing and respecting the diverse experiences, backgrounds, and voices that make us stronger together. Juneteenth serves as an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, celebrate progress, and reaffirm our commitment to equity, belonging, and opportunity for all.

As we honor this important day, we encourage learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations that help us continue building communities where everyone is welcomed, respected, and empowered to thrive.

❤️💛💚 Happy Juneteenth.

🚒🚑🚛 Big trucks, big equipment, and even bigger smiles! Students at Myers Corners Education Center had an exciting day exploring a variety of vehicles and learning about the important people and services that help our community thrive.

From watching a Central Hudson bucket truck reach high into the sky to exploring an ambulance, a garbage truck, a fire truck, a highway department vehicle, and a security car, students had the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with community partners in a fun and engaging way.

A special thank you to our friends at Central Hudson, Empress EMS, Royal Carting Service Co & Welsh Sanitation, the New Hackensack Fire Company, the Town of Wappinger Highway Department, and Mid-Hudson Security Consultants for making this memorable experience possible. We are grateful for your partnership and for helping our students learn more about the people and services that support our communities.

🏳️‍🌈💙 Abilities First was proud to participate in this year's Poughkeepsie Pride Fest with Dutchess Pride!

The day was filled with community, connection, celebration, and the opportunity to share our mission with so many wonderful people. We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and included, and we were honored to stand alongside organizations, families, advocates, and community members who share that commitment.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, said hello, shared their stories, and helped make the event such a success. We are grateful to be part of a community that celebrates diversity, promotes belonging, and embraces people for exactly who they are.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

🌭☀️ It wouldn't be the Executive Drive Preschool Annual Picnic without our favorite grill masters!

For the fourth year in a row, Dr. Jeffrey Fox, President & CEO, traded the boardroom for the barbecue, teaming up with Principal Matthew Pidel to keep the hamburgers coming for students and staff.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's picnic such a special event.
