📢 A Message from New Hackensack Fire Company

For decades, our annual fire prevention newspaper has been placed in or on your mailbox as one of our biggest fundraising traditions, and it's made a real difference for our volunteer fire company.

This year, the postmaster in Wappingers Falls has informed us that placing anything inside or on the flag of your mailbox violates postal regulations.

To stay compliant and avoid penalties, we've had no choice but to leave this year's newspaper on the ground near your mailbox instead of inside it.

We know that's not how you're used to seeing it, and we're sorry for the change. If your copy was damaged, just send us a message and we'll get you a new one.

This fundraiser matters more than ever with this new hurdle in front of us — please consider supporting it if you're able. Thank you for standing behind New Hackensack Fire Company, year after year. 🚒❤️

This Evening at 6pm, please join us as we remember all that were lost and fulfill our promise to never forget.

🇺🇸 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony — Friday at 6:00 PM 🇺🇸

Please join us this Friday evening at the New Hackensack Fire Company as we mark 25 years since September 11th, 2001 — honoring the lives lost and the heroes who ran toward danger when others ran away.
This year carries special weight as we reach a quarter-century of remembrance. The ceremony will include a brief program and moment of silence.

All are welcome. Please arrive a few minutes early to find parking and seating. Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still honor. We still say: Never Forget.

It is with profound sadness that New Hackensack Fire Company shares news of the passing of Past Chief Glenn Scofield, Sr.

Past Chief Scofield rose through the ranks of Protection Engine Co. #1, Village of Fishkill Fire Department, serving as Chief from 1967 to 1969, and again from 1970 to 1974, with over 50 years of active service to the department.

Glenn built a legacy that few can match — one of steadfast leadership, dedication, and lifelong commitment to his community and department.

Our thoughts are with the Scofield family, and with the members of Protection Engine Co. #1, Village of Fishkill Fire Department, during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Past Chief Glenn Scofield, Sr. your service and sacrifice will always be remembered.

Landing zone coverage and Graduation fireworks

Saturday afternoon 52-12 (engine) was requested to establish a landing zone for a lifenet air medical helicopter, as they were going to transport a critical patient to an appropriate hospital. Town of Wappinger EMS provided excellent patient care on the ground before transferring care to the flight crew!

Later in the evening 52-12 and members provided standby coverage for a fireworks display to celebrate the graduation of RCK class of 2026!

We congratulate all graduates and wish for a speedy recovery for the patient

New Hackensack Volunteers serve our community in a variety of ways, if you’d like to learn more about how you can make a difference, message us today!
