Today 2 citizens found a male dog walking in the roadway by Ware Shoals Golf Course. If you are missing a dog, please contact WSPD to pick up your dog. You must be able to describe the dog and possibly provide a photo to pick it up. You may come to WSPD to identify the dog or contact an officer via phone at 864-942-8632. Thanks!

The Ware Shoals Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full time police officer, certified and not yet certified. Basic requirements are High School Diploma/GED, clean criminal background and a valid SC drivers license. Applicants must be able to work 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. The state requires you to be at least 21 years of age to carry a handgun. The Town of Ware Shoals is an EEO. Ware Shoals Police Department is currently making a list for elderly, disabled, or special needs residents that may want a welfare check in the event of a power outage or bad storm. We are asking if you or a family member would like to be added to the list that you contact LT. Jessica Davis, 864-450-9545, or Town Hall, 864-456-7478, to be added. In the event that the power goes out or there is a bad storm, an officer will contact you or your family member, via phone or in person, to make sure they are safe and have some form of light.

The WSPD will be auctioning a red in color 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 4x4. This vehicle comes with an electric lift tailgate, orginial tailgate, and front bumper. The vehicle has approximately 130,000 miles. Closed bids are already being taken and will close on July 17, 2020. Vehicle is parked outside the Ware Shoals Police Department.
