MISSING / RUNAWAY JUVENILE — PLEASE SHARE

The Ocean Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Aiden Scatina, who was last seen at approximately 2:00 AM on August 22, 2026, in the area of Dock Road in Waretown, NJ.

Aiden is described as:

* 14-year-old white male
* Approximately 5’9” tall
* Approximately 200 pounds
* Fair complexion
* Bleach blonde hair

Last known clothing:

* Black pants
* Black hoodie
* Black and white sneakers

Aiden may be in the company of other individuals. His current direction of travel and the clothing of the other individuals are unknown.

If you have seen Aiden or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Ocean Township Police Department immediately at 609-693-4007.

It is with profound sadness that the Officers and Members of Whiting Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Station 33, announce the passing of Life Member Kevin Sloan.

Kevin proudly served our department from 1990 until he relocated to South Carolina. Throughout his years of dedicated service, he held several leadership positions, including Chief and Captain, helping shape our organization and leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

We are deeply grateful for Kevin’s commitment, leadership, and years of selfless service to our department and the Whiting community. His contributions will not be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to live on within Station 33.

We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Kevin’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Firefighters Service will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by interment with a graveside ceremony at Whiting Cemetery.

Rest easy, Chief. Thank you for your service, your leadership, and your unwavering dedication.
