The Ocean Township Police Department invites you to our FREE Car Seat Checkpoint on June 18th from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Waretown Firehouse.

Our trained officers and child passenger safety technicians will inspect your child’s car seat, answer questions, and help ensure it is installed properly.

A few minutes can provide valuable peace of mind and help keep your child safe every time you hit the road.

🍋 Cooling Off with Some Local Lemonade! 🍋

Cpl. Mandarine, Cpl. McGavin, and Ptl. Bleichner stopped by Mia and Riley’s lemonade stand this morning for a quick break—and it definitely hit the spot!

The lemonade was cold, refreshing, and exactly what was needed on a warm day. Great job, Mia and Riley!

The Township of Ocean’s 150th Anniversary Fireworks Celebration at Waretown Bayfront Park & Pier brought our community together for a spectacular evening. It was great to see so many families and friends enjoying the show and celebrating what makes Ocean Township such a special place.

Community Food Drive Success!

Today, the Ocean Township Police Department held the first of our two annual community food drives, coordinated by Cpl. Cicero and our Community Policing Unit.

Several years ago, Cpl. Cicero recognized a need within our community to help replenish local food supplies during the summer months, when donations often decrease while demand continues to grow. Thanks to the generosity of our residents, the food collected today will be distributed to local churches and food banks, helping to ease some of that strain and support families in need throughout our area.

Today’s food drive was held in the Greenbriar Oceanaire community and was attended by Cpl. Cicero, Cpl. Moller and Public Safety Telecommunicator Cordasco.

A sincere thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this event a success. Your generosity continues to make a difference in the lives of others.

Our second food drive of the year will be held on August 28th, 2026 at the Waretown ShopRite from 10am-2pm.

We’ve received a ton of questions online and by phone today regarding tonight’s fireworks show.

The answer is YES — the fireworks are still scheduled as planned!

Yes, yes it is certainly windy right now, but
current forecasts indicate that the wind is expected to decrease by the time dusk arrives, allowing for a safe and enjoyable fireworks display.

Should anything change, we will notify the public immediately through our official channels.
