🚨BREAKING: A Virginia circuit court has refused to block the implementation of Democrats’ new congressional map, which voters approved in a statewide special election last week.

“Millions of Virginians voted in an election,” wrote the judge in the order. "It is in the public interests to allow the amendment to take effect."

We don’t have to agree to stand firm on this: political violence is wrong. Always. In a democracy, we settle our differences with votes, not weapons.

Grateful for those who acted quickly last night.

Shots were fired at the hotel hosting the White House correspondents’ dinner. Authorities said the attack was carried out by a lone gunman who was brought down by the Secret Service.
